- arrival from Pozzo to Maranello; and the first F we see there through the window of our car..
- we drive along the main gate of the factory
- we park somewhere and walk to the entrance of Fiorano
- at the left this F1
- view from the viaduct

As I walk down from the viaduct and pass the cars from the previous post and was almost at the end of where you could walk, I started to walk faster and faster because I heard this terrible noise of an engine, and screaming tires.... what was that???!! Than, there came a car from the right side at the end of the track and turned around, creating a cloud of smoke, and than the car came towards to me.... it turned out to be a 599. Who was in it, that he was authorized ánd capable, to handle the car he did.... i couln't see, but than he turned, just a few meters from me away..

YES it was HIM, the master himself; Michael Schumachter :)!! You will find all the pictures of this occasion in this special thread:

This was the end of day one. We drove to the factory to make one more pic..

On the second day, sunday, we were not up very early. Just relaxed a bit and had a chat with two dutch guys outside our hotel who were with there Ferrari's. We arrived at 12.00u, and i decided to stay at the entrance for a while, spreading flyers towards visitors, mtange went in. At 14.00u we would meet at the main tent (that huge big one you see on the photo) for the lunch. When walking towards the tent i saw that strange rebuild 308. In the tent there was a fantastic lunch, just like yesterday. mmmmm! very nice

After the lunch, we decide to walk around in the tent, to see what there was to be seen. Made a picture of me with my future car, the fxx ;)..

at both sides of the tent there were hanging those affiches (high up). looked very nice.
and there was another (former) F1 car, you could have a close look at

When we had seen it all in the tent, and had taken at least 5 times, water, flurry ice, icecreams or coffee, we felt ready to go outside again. Good lord, it was hot outside there. I heard somewhere about 31 -33 degrees Celsius. We walked to the little 'stands'/tents in which several companies showed something of their bussiness. Like Damiani (juwelry), Saint Gobain (very special sun-impact-demping carglass), and Brembo, with a set of ceramic brake-disc. I ticked with my nail against it; it s very special strange material! But beautiful. And very expensive....
There were again a lot of F's, and at the other side of the track (at the right) there were the tents in which the F1-cars were, for the F1 demonstrations. We heard several times motors starting and be warmed up. But we couldn't get any closer, because you had to have a special F1-pass, and a black arm-bracelet...

Than the concours d' elegance began. I cannot type here all the tipos, as I don't know them all, but see for yourselve what you recognize. And pm me what is what...:)

Never seen so old people been so happy like a child because of a prize ;) (and wear all stro-hats (from Borsalino, I guess); it almost looked more like I was at the ascot-races (horses)) :D

And than suddenly, there they were! Felt like if they felt right out of the sky... . And what a noise! Terrific!

Next thing would be the F1-demonstrations. Showing a selections of (very) old and new racers.
Now I was there behind the guardrails..... and saw the pitboxes overthere at the left, hearing startnoise.....
Would have loved to be overthere, but you had to have a black bracelet and an F1-pass....
Tried to pass the security... didn't succeed..
nofear02
30-06-2007, 19:33
Tried something else.... and....voilá... ;)..
missed 3 voitures but was just in time to see this one leave.
walked around along the pitboxes to have a look. a few drivers allready had taken their seats

Than people started to want on a pictures together with him. I thougt; i'm not gonna do that, leave him a alone, don't bother him. But he doesn't seem to forget his fans, and he did several times, so in the end i thought, other people do, well than i can also. But the security guy who i asked to make a pictures didn't know how my camera worked, so that took to much time, therefor MS turn away, but hey; I'm together with him on a photo. who cares :D.

Thanks for your comments guys. Yes it was very very special. I only realize that nów, here, at home, 'cause with a camera in my hand, I'm 'working'; you concentrate on things you see and should see, and on measurements and details, and on the camera, on people, etc etc. You just look with 'a different eye'. All the photographers here will understand what I mean. It's just something else than just standing there with your hands in your pockets and looking relaxed aroud. But.. it was not work that was not nice to do :D.

Well, I don't have luck in love, so......maybe I should try....
- maybe I should have played last week 58.000.000 DKR (about 8.000.0000 € i think) was in the funds! That could have been to one or two F's, even whit the danish taxes! ;

Very nice trophies! I'm jealous! Especially because I also want such a new T-shirt of Ferrari. Btw I also have such a bag from Ferrari Store. There should be one in Rome too, because two girls from my prevoius class brought me a little Ferrari cap (That I schould hang in my car) from there, and so I have that bag from there
