View Full Version : Classic Days Trips Memorial Schloss Dyck
On the 2nd & 3rd of August -during the 24 hours of Spa...- this event took place in Jügen (near Mönchengladbach). I only went there on Saturday and I had a wonderful day, partly thanks to Herbert Steves (heppypress.de), a photographer I often meet in Gemrnay along the tracks and in Austria. This year it was the 3rd event and it looks like the Concourse on the Royal Palace 't Loo in Apeldoorn (this weekend), although it's more divers and there are much more different cars. I didn't go to the Ferrari parking lot..., because I had a good time elsewhere, so only a few Ferraris. But... see for your selves and dicide wether it's an event to visit next year...

Great pics, I wish I would be there.
Looks like a great event with very special cars!
Your pictures are absolutely stunning, especially the 'action' shots!
The event this year is on the 1 and 2 August.

I will be there on sunday
I visited the event on sunday, last week and really enjoyed myself.
Some beautiful and rare classics turned up and drove around the circuit.
There was a concours elegance in the castle garden, great setting.
The highlight was to see Jochen Mass in a Silberpfeil Mercedes-Benz W25, amazing sound.
Not many Ferrari's around, but the green 330 P4 was amazing!

Nice pictures Johan!
Michiel, do you also have some pictures for us?? :)

A famous P4 indeed... This is the car belonging to the well-know David Piper. A car with loads of history! Often accompanied by his Porsche at classic events... maybe it was there too?
Looks like a great event to me. Couldn't make it this year, too bad... Only for the P4 it would have been worth the visit!

Great car, this P4. Piper brought along his Porsche 917 as well. The only 'problem' with his P4 is that it was never constructed in Maranello. This is #0900 and has all original parts and an original body, but is completely built from spare parts. With the blessing of Enzo Ferrari... Nonetheless it can never compete in official Ferrari events since it is not certified and will never be.
I remember David Piper leaving Spa Francorchamps with steam coming out of his ears when the car was refused for the Historic Challenge several years ago.
Some of my pictures. Didn't take many since the weather was very bad.

Hi Maarten,
It was worth to visit it.
We wanted to go but only if the wetter was not to bad.
Unlucky we only could be there on sunday.
It was raining, but the sun was shining to.
David Piper brought the Porsche with him.
Less other Ferraris this year

I know the story of the car. Not built in Maranello but in a "Farmers Barn"... Nevertheless to me it is more original than some other remaining P4's... Great car with a never-ending story of racing history... BTW , like the P... too...
