Jon Shirley's (Microsft ex-president) collection: it's amazing! A '33 Alfa P3, '69 F1, '97 Schumacher F1, 250 GTO, 275M, 250 Testarossa, LWB California Spyder, 375 MM, Daytona Spyder (real), a 'one off' 375 MM PF Spyder that was rebodied to a Berlinetta and a Fiat car hauler (restored). And a huge variety of miniatures...

I have visit the very nice collection of John Bosch's Barron Racing a couple of times in Zaandam, The Netherlands.
I made a painting of his stunning Ferrari 312 T3 (035). (See my site) Last year he signed the Panting a I got to see the 312 T3 (035) for real!
I saw there some Ferrari F1 cars, I didn't knew he owns. And I Knew that he owned a lot. There was a 126 C2,C3 and also an 312 T2 I believe.
Believe me. This is one of the greatest Ferrari collections of the world.
I hope they will be back on the racetracks very soon with there awesome Historic material
Only in the Netherlands there are quit a lot of nice collections:
What about Louwman and Muller? Or van Rijn? or... etc..

Nope, but I visited it on a weekday. Nice to see, I did not visit the collection before but heard all the stories about it. But to be honest, I never visited a car museum that is very crowded
He had the MC12 I think, there was one for sale a few month ago at Exeter Ferrari Dealer, and I heard somewhere that it was his ;)

We can also think about Jason Kay :) (singer from the band Jamiroquai ...)
He has many beautiful cars (Enzo, 300SL Gullwing, 550 Maranello, Phantom etc...

Spain is the circuit of Klaas Zwart, owner of Ascari.
Amazing track with duplicated curves from the worlds best circuits.
It has a circuit, collection of old F1 cars and a luxury-resort.
Mas du Clos is owned by longtime collector Bardinon. He started cllecting old racecars in the 1960's paying rediculous low prices buying cars direct from Ferrari and private raceteams. He had several Le Mans winning cars in his impressive collection, like the P4 0858, 312P, 250TR 58 and 59, 375MM, 250GTO, 250GTO64 and lots of other historic ferrari's with competition history

Hi Hans,
Mas du Clos is absolutely great, what better than to have your own circuit in your back garden to test your race cars at?. In your list at least you missed the 375 Plus that won Le Mans.
In the early sixties Pierre Bardinon bought a 250 LM and did some minor competition with that. He was also rather close with Jim Clark back then.
Klaas Zwart is a very nice guy from The Netherlands who was nicknamed the McGyver of the offshore business. He used to have Petroline in Scotland and indeed Tom Coronel picked up his daughter Pauline.
Klaas has a very nice collection of cars and knows how to use them. Back in 89/90 he was also involved with a black 308 GTB racer in the crash at Zandvoort with the F40 of Charles Zwolsman. Apart from the F1 cars he als has/had some very impressive Group B Rally Cars.
The Ascari circuit is maybe one of the best circuits in the world! If you ever get the chance to drive there in one of the Radicals, jump on it.

Pierre Bardinon made his fortune before selling any of his cars.
He was very succesfull in the fur and leatherindustry. Besides, when he bought those cars, you were probably in nappies!
Pierre Bardinon, Jacques Swaters and david Clarke were lucky to be in the right spot, at the right time. In the fifties, nobody cared for old worn down racecars, nowadays worth millions.
Mr. Swaters had very difficult times in the early years. Being a dealer his raceteam was allways in debt, and he sold 2/3 cars a year. It was a financial struggle.
The cars weren't as nice as today, they could barely pay for repaint. The Borrani wirewheels were painted in a certain color, not to look nice, but to make sure, they would get their own wheels back after the tires got changed. Wheels were expensive!
Ecurie Francorchamps cars were yellow. The shade of yellow didn't matter, they bought the cheapest tin they could get. Nowadays restorers study colors and schemes, something, they never thought off back then.
At the momnt Mas du Clos is closed for environmental issues
Now this is what i call a colletcion, he got Enzo, F40, CGT, Saleen S7 and the Bugatti Veroyn. And more.!

They call him the Sultan of Michigan. Thats only a small part of his collection!
The wharehouse has 3 or 4 of those rooms.
Ultimate collection?, its personal, but I don't think so!
There is no specific theme or brand in his collection. He has no rare or significant historic competition vehicles.
Its impressive! But anyone with a load of money can make a collection like that.
I'm not envious or jealous, but there are collections with much more depth, historic and commercial value
Do you got any pics of the rest of the cars? :)
I would really like to see the rest of them? :)
