Makes you want to cry.........
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=62VmJReYNNIWell not only cry Bob, it makes me mad also. Who is driving so fast in a circle in a little space; when you knew there was that barrier. Be a little more cautious with such a piece of art! Because that is what an Enzo is. Seeing it smashing right into that wall and comming up high, what a waste! And totally unnessecary
Looks like the classic case of pressing on the gas and brake at the same time. Notice the front wheels are locked. Griffen is used to American car pedals, not ones that are meant for heel/toe downshifting

Think you would have a hard time heel/toe shifting in an ENZO.....F1 transmission....
Didn't even think of that. Duh. Still European gas and break pedals are much closer to each other then on American cars
Mo money than brain cells.
yeehaa yankee doodle.

...worse has/have/will be rebuild.
Not the prettiest sight, but with enough $$ nobody will notice next year.

Sadly it happens far to often, there's a lot of rich kids who buy themselves a Ferrari and crash it in the first year. It just shows you need money AND brains to drive a sportscar, and it takes heart and soul to drive a Ferrari. A Ferrari is not just a fast, good looking car. It's a piece of art, with every Ferrari you get a sense of the history of this famous car-maker.

Description
You are viewing what is probably the most famous Ferrari Enzo in existence. If you saw the movie Redline you've seen this beautiful Ferrari racing at top speeds through the Nevada desert. Unless you've been living in a cave you've probably also seen the YouTube video with actor/comedian Eddie Griffin driving the rare auto into a barrier while doing a publicity event for the movie in March 2007.
That's where Matthew's Auto Sales of Houston, Texas comes in. We bought the damaged Enzo from the movie producer after the incident last year. Our mission was to "Save the Enzo" as our friends at Jalopnik.com have coined. It seems that many of the 400 Enzos produced have ended up in pieces at the hands of unskilled drivers. 650 hoursepower and no skill equals problems. Making the remaining Enzos even more rare. The news reports at the time reported this car as "totaled". Certainly, $91,833.05 in parts and $50,000.00 in labor costs doesn't total a $1.5 million dollar car. That's less then 10% of it's value. All replaced parts were new and from the Ferrari factory. Car has a good California title.
We will also brag about ourselves and how we repair high end vehicles perfectly. This car is perfect in every respect. It was hand built by Ferrari and hand built by us. The flawless paintwork is now covered with a clear bra on the entire front end. This is because we feel that supercars (Ferrari Enzos) were built to be driven, not sit idle in a garage and get waxed every third day and/or week. But, if that is what you like to do, then you can take the clear bra off of this one and wax away.
Recent selling prices for Ferrari Enzos have been $1.3 to $1.5 million USD. We are starting the bidding at $1 million and we'll see where it ends.
Word is it was a (expensive) publicity stunt for the movie Redline.
Also, they state 400 were build, I've got 448 at this moment in my DB. ;)

I already saw this earlier: On Autoblog.nl there was a section of wrecked enzos of which Eddie Griffins enzo ws one of them.
I believe at least 7 Enzo were badly damaged, but I also noticed that some of them are invisibly fixed.

... some have even been rebuild from scratch by Ferrari using the same VIN number.
