Hi Guys,

Who knows this; the airco-system is filled with an certain gas; ik don't knwo its name; something like B12? In the Netherlands, that is forbidden to fill it up again. Than you have to alter the system to a different gas, because of environment-regulations.

But in Belgium the ols system is still allowed. So wou;dn't it be better just to drive to Belgium to a F-dealer, and fill it ip again, rather than altering teh system, because i think that will be expensive.

There is only one problem; my pre-owner didn't give a hekc about the airco-system ,so it is allready empty for quite some period. That is nog good for tehe system. So i think the chance is big that the old system now is not good anymore and maybe will have some leaks... If that should me mended, than i nust pay more costs than budgetted. If ther would not be leaks, than, Monza (near Gent) expected that it would costs 170 euro's.

Does anyone know what it would cost to have the system rebuild towards the new gas

Nieuw gas, toegestaan in Nederland.

If your a/c system wasn't filled or used for a long period, the chance of leakage excists, the gaskets and hoses can dry out. Also there can be problems with the compressor, airco gas has a lubricating effect. Could be expensive

I am also working on this matter since in my 1988 328GTS I need to refill the system as well. The old and today no more allowed liquid is R12. I now know that several similar airco systems have been refilled without receiving any modyfication a liquid named R416A. It seems that its best to fill-up to a lower pressure than with the original R12 and that the effectiveness is somewhat less than with R12. Maybe Kees den Hertog knows what Kees van Stokkum used and what pressure...
thanks in advance

At the invoice i can't see which gas or fluid is used, the discription says: aircopump oil PA oil68, costs: 69,25 euro.
i know the systems works perfectly with it!. ITAL auto isn't STEK certified, but the companyt they work together with is. It's very important to know which gas/fluid is used, becasuse the gaskets and hoses can't handle new aircofluids, inform with Kees van Stokkum, info@italauto.nl .
Good advice and a reasonable prices. My 206 CC was more expensive to fill...

thank you for this information and I most likely will contact Italauto to get a confirmation of this right fluid
