We are going with a group of f-chatters from Holland. And will be landing on Bergamo on friday afternoon 14.45. Than we hire a car and will travel to Florence, passing Maranello......

We ordered accomodation in the youth hostel in Florence.

Anyone from abroad, could fly tot Bergamo (Milan -> orio y serio, by ryanair, or easyjet), and could make a deal and appointment to travel together, to split the costs of a car hired. Especially if you want to do something like this but don't know with whom you want to go; pick another f-chatter! We are all friends. Should be fun to make it an international group. We certainly will do that next year. And flying with ryanair of easyjet is veeeery cheap if you book 2 or 3 weeks in advance....

We drive back at mondaymorning. OUr plane to Eindhoven leaves at 12. so we have to be there back in time...

the news is still that F-chat will be there. i believe we will come with 5 members?? (NoFear02, 250LM, 360Driver, Mtange and me)

and that we can't wait. we will arrive in bergamo, and drive to florence/firenze. on the way we will pass that litte town called 'maranello' hmmm... sounds familiar :D. Then on to firenze, sleep in youth hostel, next morning the first day, then some sightseeing (lots to see). then back to firence. next day the same story, monday we are heading back to bergamo, and afther that, to hollan

Reports are circulating in the Italian motoring press that Ferrari is preparing to show a significantly reworked FXX Evoluzione. The development car is reportedly being unveiled by none other than Michael Schumacher next weekend at the company's Mugello circuit in Italy in conjunction with the final stage of the Ferrari Challenge series. Also taking to the track will be an anticipated 34 retired F1 cars of various eras from the company's F1 Clienti program as well as the FXX program.

The FXX itself is, of course, an evolution of the Enzo supercar, which gives selected clients a chance to participate in the testing and development of new features and components for Ferrari road cars. It's essentially a rolling test bed, with new parts being tacked on all the time. The FXX Evoluzione, then, must be a significant step forward to warrant the new nomenclature, and sources suggest it will benefit from new aerodynamic elements, a new traction control system using applied experience from F1, and a power hike to 850 HP. Like the incremental modifications the FXX has undertaken to date as part of the ongoing program, the Evoluzione package is expected to be retrofitted to the existing cars.

We are already back from the mondiali, and had a GREAT weekend. Had a lot of fun with the fellow F-chatters, seen italy, and of course a lot of beautiful cars, the italian 'tifosi' and much, much more! I will start with uploading pictures here.

Friday I got op early, as we had to go to Eindhoven Airport to fly to Bergamo (milano). Instead of going by bus i drove to Arie's home, and with him to pick up Mark in Tilburg and robert on his way to us. At the Airport we met Mtange so the group was complete.

The flight went perfect, the wheather in Italy was cloudy and rainy when we got there and picked up our rental car. Then on to MARANELLO!!! on our way we saw some old and almost wrecked car, inherent to the italian way of drivin

When we drove in maranello, it has stopped raining, so we could walk around, it was dark though. It was a very, very special moment for me, as it was my first time in maranello. We had a lookaround in the Ferrari store, it was still opened, then walked around the factory and bought some bread and drinks for the following da

and we walked by Toni auto, the guys there were very friendly, we could look around and take pictures. cool to see those cars together, and a lot of posters, old parts and a parts room. what an organised chao

And that was the end of the day. we were completely exhausted. but it was so great

we went back, had a pizza. and slept the last night at the hostel. next morning we had an early day, drove to bergamo, and flew back to Eindhoven. difference in wheather?? from sunny and about 20 degrees to very rainy and about 10 degrees.... wish we could go back.

Conclusion: we had a great weekend. we enjoyed every minute of it. some moments were very, very special for me. to see the factory. nice adventures in the hotel, driving etc etc. and then on the circuit, such special cars, the road cars, challenge series, F1 clienti, FXX, and the demo of the GT2 And the present, world champion F1 team. To see al the people involved, see some very important people who are almost legends. and the atmosphere. everything breathes Ferrari and passion. Just look at the Tifosi who where there. they (and we) went completely insane when we saw all that.

I will never ever forget this weekend. when posting these pictures it was a complete flashback, i'm shaking so excited i am!

Don't worry : on the complete movie (2 hours), you can hear A LOT of engines (F1 especially), without any music. Only 8, 10, 12 cylinders.

Music is just for intro or end of movie.

Just received the double DVD from F328GTB from France.
It is a great memory of an even better weekend I spent with Nofear02, Mtange, Arietimmermans and Erikderaaf.
I only browsed the DVD's by watching each chapter briefly (checking its playability also), and then skipping to the next.
My first impression of it is that it is a movie which has been edited very well!

everything is sorted in chapters which makes watching it very pleasant.

Only the one who were in the garage. We arrived late at fridaynight, he was actually already closed, but let us walk their anyway, when he heard we were dutch ;) . It was fantastic. Didn't know he has so many F's! Where are those than? Not on that premises i presume. Indeed, nothing has changed there in yearssssss. :

But when I last visited Maranello, we walked up to see, if there was any cars... There were, but only a few, five I think, and not anything special
